Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, supporting various construction and fabrication projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and safety are top priorities. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits. Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials through cutting, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, gas metal arc welding equipment, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to strict safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on-site or in the fabrication shop to complete projects efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met. Experience Proven construction site experience or background in metal fabrication environments. Demonstrated proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes such as plasma cutting, machining, and assembly. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding and fabrication operations. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and shop math skills. Experience working with structural steel or sheet metal materials in a fabrication shop or construction setting is highly desirable. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
