ASAP Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Welder III who can complete projects with little or no supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong TIG welding skills with some MIG experience , the ability to read blueprints, and experience welding stainless steel, sheet metal, and structural components. This position requires someone who can work with a variety of materials and thicknesses and is comfortable welding in multiple positions. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding specifications. Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metals and components. Weld stainless steel, sheet metal, and structural materials. Work with 16-18 gauge material as well as structural materials from 1/2" to 6" . Select appropriate welding materials and electrodes for specific applications. Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Use electric, air, and power tools as required. Complete welding projects with minimal supervision. Provide guidance or work assignments to other welders as needed. Scan jobs through the Made2Manage (M2M) system. Operate plasma cutting equipment as needed. Assist with subassembly work. Operate forklift, pallet jack, or hoist as needed. Qualifications Strong TIG welding experience required; MIG experience required. Structural welding experience required. Experience with stainless steel and sheet metal. Experience working with 16-18 gauge material . Experience with structural welding from 1/2" to 6" . Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications. Strong knowledge of welding materials and equipment. Ability to read and use a tape measure. Experience using electric and air tools. 5+ years of Welder II experience, or equivalent welding experience/certification preferred. Machine shop experience is a plus. Fluxcore experience is a plus. Forklift, pallet jack, and hoist experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Welding Test Candidates will be required to complete a welding test covering TIG, MIG, and structural welding . Personal Qualities Able to work independently and as part of a team.
