In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality metal fabrication projects, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metal materials and advanced welding techniques in a fast-paced environment dedicated to craftsmanship and safety. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure accurate dimensions during fabrication and assembly. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials. Fabricate components by cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and assembling metal parts as specified in technical drawings. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving mechanical fabrication, assembly, and quality control to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of metal materials and fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools accurately. Mechanical knowledge of shop math, machining processes, plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly procedures. Familiarity with safety protocols specific to welding environments and construction sites; ability to operate power tools safely. Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations. Experience with fabricating using sheet metal materials and interpreting technical drawings for complex projects. Knowledge of construction site safety practices including crane operation awareness is a plus. Join our team if you're passionate about metal fabrication and welding!
