Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, and machining equipment. Measure dimensions accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools and power tools safely to assemble fabricated parts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Operate cranes and other lifting equipment for handling heavy materials during fabrication and assembly processes. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety standards on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Skilled in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and use of hand tools. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while operating welding equipment and power tools. Experience with crane operation is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. $27.52 - $33.15 per hour
