, is and all-American Manufacturer of Safes, Vault Doors and Walk-In Vaults and is looking for an experienced and quality-focused individual to fill a Welder & Fabricator Apprentice position. As a local leader in the industry, our company works to secure a vast array of industries, military and home owners against burglary, fire and natural disasters. This position requires an Apprentice to be able to be able to properly and proficiently square, cut, weld, grind, measure and assemble steel parts and pieces in order to build safes & vault doors. Previous experience welding is necessary. We will train the right individuals.
Primary Duties :
Proper use of tools and materials used in the building and assembly of safes and vault doors. Reading and understanding work orders & other materials used in the project. Checking parts to ensure proper materials to be assembled. Measuring and cutting materials to specifications. Welding steel materials of different thicknesses, shapes and sizes. Proper grinding of welds to conform with pre-paint specifications. Proper use of body filler in order to conform with pre-paint specifications. Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the specified tolerances and guidelines. Coordinate with shop foreman and supervisors to prioritize projects & meet deadlines. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective weld process Maintain clean and safe work area Participate in ongoing technical and safety training Ensure safe movement of products in, out and through the department Adhere to weld production schedule as designated by
Shop Foreman & Immediate Supervisor Skills/Qualifications :
Good organizational skills, great attention to detail, and ability to execute basic instruction Ability to pass criminal background check, 5-Panel Drug Test.
