Job Description

Vacuum Chamber TIG Welder We are seeking an experienced Vacuum Chamber TIG Welder/Fabricator with a strong background in precision TIG welding of stainless steel and other materials used in vacuum applications. The ideal candidate has experience producing clean, high-quality, leak-tight welds while following strict cleanliness and fabrication standards. Key Responsibilities TIG weld vacuum chambers and related components , primarily stainless steel Perform precision welding with a focus on leak-tight, high-quality welds Follow strict cleanliness and contamination-control practices required for vacuum applications Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications Perform fit-up, fabrication, and assembly of chamber components Perform additional metal fabrication, including bending, forming, cutting, and finishing Inspect welds and finished components for quality and dimensional accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet quality and production requirements Qualifications Experience with
TIG/GTAW
welding , preferably on stainless steel Previous experience welding vacuum chambers, vacuum components, or UHV equipment strongly preferred Understanding of welding practices for maintaining vacuum integrity and cleanliness Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Experience with precision fabrication and tight tolerances is a plus Welding certifications are a plus but not necessarily required
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
