DIRECT PLACEMENT ROLE

Overview A high‑volume food‑processing facility is seeking an experienced Welder Mechanic with strong TIG and laser welding skills. This role supports daily operations by fabricating, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a fast‑paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Perform high‑precision TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components Operate and maintain laser welding equipment for fine, detailed fabrication Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on conveyors, motors, and processing machinery Fabricate custom parts, guards, and structural components to support production needs Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality standards required in a food‑processing environment Qualifications 2+ years of TIG welding experience; ability to pass a weld test Hands‑on experience with laser welding systems Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment Proficiency with fabrication tools including grinders, plasma cutters, and torches Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend effective solutions Experience in food‑processing or agricultural environments is a plus Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast‑paced conditions Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on‑call shifts as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Standing, bending, and working in tight spaces for extended periods Comfortable working around moving machinery and in refrigerated areas What the Role Offers Competitive pay Opportunities for skill development and advancement Stable, year‑round work in a growing industry A team‑oriented environment focused on safety and continuous improvement Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tracy, CA.
