Monday-Friday, Day Shift Job Overview Express Employment Professionals in Yuba City is partnering with a well-established industrial repair and service company in the Yuba-Sutter area to hire an experienced Stick Welder . This position is primarily focused on Stick welding steel components, structural repairs, and steel bin repair . The ideal candidate will be confident with Stick welding and comfortable working with different sizes and types of steel in a hands-on shop environment. Candidates with additional MIG welding, fabrication, or industrial repair experience are encouraged to apply, but strong Stick welding experience is the primary focus for this position. Key Responsibilities Perform Stick welding on steel components, equipment, and structures Complete repair welding on steel bins and industrial equipment Weld cracks, breaks, worn areas, and damaged steel components Build up and reinforce worn or damaged areas using Stick welding Perform welding repairs in various positions as needed Prepare steel for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting Use grinders, torches, and other shop equipment Perform basic fabrication and modifications as needed Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and proper penetration Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area Follow all shop and welding safety procedures Qualifications 3-5+ years of Stick welding experience preferred Strong hands-on experience with Stick welding Ability to weld steel and perform structural or repair welding Experience repairing steel bins, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or similar structures is a plus Ability to weld in multiple positions Comfortable with cutting, grinding, fitting, and preparing steel MIG welding experience is a plus but not the primary requirement Ability to work independently and produce quality welds Reliable and dependable work history Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
