Diamond Steel CO. seeking a dependable and skilled Welder-Fabricator & Truck Upfitting Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position blends hands‑on welding and fabrication work with full‑scope truck body installation, including mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and 12V electrical systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and capable of producing high‑quality work in a fast‑paced production environment. Job specific training will be provided.

JOB SUMMARY

The Tank Welder-Fabricator is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly tasks for all truck‑related builds. This role focuses on the construction and assembly of water tanks and truck systems within the manufacturing process. Duties Include Weld stainless steel and black iron using MIG processes. Fabricate steel and Stainless steel, welding internal and external seams, and assembling plumbing and other components, Work and weld inside tanks ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 gallons; proper ventilation and PPE are provided and required. Assist with mounting completed tanks onto truck chassis. Fabricate parts and operate shop machinery as directed. Build equipment and components from blueprints. Weld and fabricate paving‑equipment parts as assigned when time allows. Report supply needs and inventory shortages. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform all other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 years of MIG welding experience. Minimum 1 years of fabrication experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proven ability to produce high‑quality work while meeting deadlines. Must pass a welding test administered by the shop foreman. Understanding of basic manufacturing safety procedures.
