WELDING TECHNICIAN II

We're hiring a Welding Technician II for a manufacturing company that builds trailers and safety equipment . You'll be working in a hands-on fabrication shop where quality matters, welds need to be clean, and every finished product needs to be built to last. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder who is ready to work independently, help newer welders grow, and take ownership of their craft.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Perform MIG and TIG welding on galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and detailed work instructions Work with different material thicknesses, filler metals, and shielding gases Inspect welds and dimensions to make sure everything meets quality and tolerance requirements Troubleshoot common welding issues such as porosity and wire-feed problems Perform preventative maintenance and keep welding equipment running properly Identify defects and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Fabrication, and other team members Help train and mentor Welder I employees Look for ways to improve welding processes, reduce scrap, and make the work more efficient Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 2-5

years of welding/fabrication experience High school diploma or equivalent Vocational or technical welding training required AWS or other recognized welding certification required for Level II Strong MIG/TIG welding skills Comfortable welding in multiple positions Able to read welding symbols and blueprints Good understanding of welding quality, inspection techniques, and fabrication practices Strong attention to detail — because "close enough" doesn't make a good weld Able to troubleshoot problems and make appropriate machine adjustments Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team Willing and able to mentor entry-level welders

THE REALITY OF THE SHOP

This is a hands-on welding and fabrication environment . You'll be around sparks, fumes, heat, and noise, so proper PPE and safety practices are a must.

The job requires:

Standing for extended periods Bending and working in different positions Repetitive use of arms and shoulders Welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

SCHEDULE

Monday-Thursday | 6:30 AM-5:00 PM Overtime may be available/required on Fridays during peak production periods.

PAY Welder II:

$26-$28/hr Pay is based on experience, skills, certifications, and level.
