Kuck Mechanical Contractors is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on welding and fabrication experience, proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding, and the ability to work accurately from blueprints, drawings, and specifications. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, prioritizes safety, and is committed to producing quality work. Responsibilities As a Welder, you will be responsible for: Performing MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components. TIG welding stainless steel pipe, aluminum, and steel. Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, measurements, and specifications to plan layouts and welding procedures. Determining the appropriate welding equipment, materials, and methods based on job requirements. Measuring, cutting, fitting, and preparing materials according to specifications. Setting up components for welding using saws, grinders, clamps, and other fabrication tools. Aligning and fitting components using calipers, rulers, squares, and other measuring tools. Welding components in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. Repairing components by welding, filling gaps, and correcting defects as needed. Inspecting completed welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and defects. Operating grinders, saws, and other power and hand tools used in welding and fabrication. Maintaining welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and clean condition. Following all company and industry safety procedures.
Qualifications Required:
Previous professional welding experience. Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding . Experience TIG welding stainless steel pipe, aluminum, and steel. Ability to pass company welding certification/testing requirements. Experience using welding and fabrication equipment. Ability to safely operate power and hand tools, including saws, grinders, squares, and calipers. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, measurements, and specifications. Knowledge of different metals, their properties, and appropriate welding techniques. Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and fabricate metal components. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of applicable welding and workplace safety practices. Ability to properly use required PPE and follow established safety procedures.
Preferred:
Experience with pipe welding and fabrication. Experience working in a fabrication or welding shop environment. Experience in the construction or mechanical trades. High school diploma or equivalent.
