Job Description Welder Position Summary:
A Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using welding techniques and equipment, fabricating and maintaining structures, and ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Assembly:
Interpret and execute blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to fabricate products. Weld components using methods such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, or flux-cored arc welding.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Operate welding equipment and related tools. Inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring safe operations.
Quality Assurance:
Assess welded joints for precision and adherence to specifications. Identify and repair weld defects using grinding and cutting tools.
Safety Practices:
Adhere to all workplace safety standards and protocols. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Participate in training and certifications to stay updated with industry practices.
Required Qualifications:
Training or certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS certification). Familiarity with fabrication tools and machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Proficient understanding of metallurgy and materials science.
Preferred Skills:
Problem-solving skills to address fabrication or structural issues. Strong understanding of industry safety standards.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED 3+ years of experience with Fabrication and Welding Aluminum Ability to obtain Secret security clearance US Citizenship Required

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
