Job Description

MIG Welder / Fabricator Full-Time | Up to $33 per hour MIG / Flux-Core | Sheet Metal & Light Plate Fabrication Production Welder & Experienced Welder/Fitter Opportunities We are seeking experienced MIG Welders / Fabricators for a full-time opportunity with an established manufacturing operation. We are interested in both experienced Welder/Fitters who can build complete assemblies from shop drawings and Production Welders who can consistently produce quality welds on pre-fit or fixtured parts . For experienced fabricators who can independently read shop drawings, lay out work, fit, tack, and weld complete assemblies without someone else setting up the job. P What You'll Be Welding This position involves fabrication of containers and compactors using primarily GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux-core) welding.
Materials and assemblies include:
10- and 12-gauge sheet steel 3/16" to 1/4" plate Structural tube and channel Gussets and crossmembers Door frames and hardware Complete fabricated assemblies Work includes long seams, fitting, tacking, welding, grinding, cutting, and general fabrication from shop drawings. The Experience That Matters Most We are specifically looking for welders with experience working with sheet steel and light plate . The ability to properly control heat on 10- and 12-gauge material is especially important. Candidates should understand how to minimize burn-through and distortion on longer seams while maintaining a quality weld. If your background includes production welding, sheet metal fabrication, container fabrication, truck bodies, trailers, tanks, or similar light-to-medium fabrication , we strongly encourage you to apply. Requirements Production MIG (GMAW) welding experience Flux-core (FCAW) welding experience Experience welding sheet steel and light plate Ability to read shop drawings, dimensions, weld symbols, and material callouts Comfortable with grinders, plasma or oxy-fuel cutting equipment, and general fabrication tools Willing to complete an onsite weld test before starting Steel-toe boots Own welding hood All other necessary equipment is supplied. Preferred Experience Layout and fit-up of weldments Ability to fabricate complete assemblies from prints
AWS D1.1
experience or current certification Overhead crane experience Forklift experience Container, truck body, tank, or trailer fabrication experience Crane and forklift certification are preferred but not required .
