Job Title:
Welder 2nd shift
Job Summary:
A Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques and equipment. They read and interpret blueprints, prepare materials, operate welding tools, and ensure that finished products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Prepare metal surfaces and materials for welding. Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welders. Join, fabricate, and repair metal structures and components. Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality. Use measuring tools to ensure proper dimensions and alignment. Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required protective equipment. Maintain welding equipment and work areas in good condition. Identify and troubleshoot welding defects or equipment issues. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Welding certification preferred. Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions. Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in manufacturing plants, construction sites, shipyards, or workshops. Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise.
