  • $23.00 per hour Temp to Perm 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_178516 Spherion Gainesville, FL has a local client seeking a Welder to join their driven team!
This position will be responsible for performing fabrications and welding. The ideal candidate has previous welding experience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to be a team player in a thriving environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform modifications and repairs to field and shop equipment.
  • Provide support to the machinist for repairs and maintenance on prestressing equipment.
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
  • Maintain and repair equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Working hours:
8:00 AM
  • 5:00
PM Skills:
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years experience in welding ...
  • Equivalent education and work experience may be considered
  • Proven/demonstrated ability with heavy machinery and tools
