Weld Supervisor Integrated Metal Products, Inc. - 3.0 Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation Dimensional inspection High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Full Job Description The Weld Supervisor will have ability to fit and weld complex parts per the drawing for inspection. This position requires the ability to read Blueprints and the ability to comprehend engineering drawings, tolerances, and weld symbol information. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Ensure associates stay on task and meet acceptable production goals during shift as directed by Weld Supervisor / Operations Manager. Conduct Supervisor / Level 2 inspections and fit-up checks. Safety Meeting & Weekly Metrics Monitor & enforce company policies regarding safety, job performance and conduct up to counseling report. Provide feedback to supervisor for employee performance appraisals. Handoff to oncoming shift. 5S and Continuous Improvement. Read tape measure to the 1/16th of 1 inch. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. MIG, Flux Core welding. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Perform quality inspections and follow ISO guidelines for product traceability. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep accurate records of production output.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
Minimum of three (3) years' experience with welding and fitting. Must have welding experience with materials including carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be highly experienced in measuring parts using a tape measure, calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring instruments. Must be highly organized and have exceptional time management skills. Working environment is in an industrial setting that is non-climate controlled. Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which include walking, climbing, standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., or similar actives for extended periods of time. All employees must complete pre-employment screening to include drug test and a physical.
