Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and ASME codes & standards to accurately fabricate metal components Perform various welding techniques including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, and SMAW (stick welding) following AWS standards to join metal materials securely Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials Fabricate components on the shop floor or on construction sites with attention to safety protocols and quality standards Interpret technical drawings for assembly, fabrication shop processes, and mechanical fabrication tasks Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times Experience Proven experience in metal fabrication or welding within a manufacturing or construction setting Skilled in blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and shop math for accurate fabrication Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, SMAW (stick welding), and gas metal arc welding Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, assembly processes, and the use of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and work with mechanical materials safely Strong understanding of safety protocols in industrial environments and adherence to OSHA standards Join us if you're passionate about precision craftsmanship, safety excellence, and working on impactful projects!
