$21-$25/hr Job Summary The Steel Welder is responsible for assembling and welding steel components using MIG welding techniques. This position requires the ability to set up, lay out, tack up, and weld precision frames and brackets to exact tolerances. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills and experience welding in both horizontal and vertical planes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble steel components according to specifications and engineering prints. Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel. Set up, lay out, and tack up precision frame weldments and brackets. Square up and weld various shapes and configurations of components. Weld precision frames to exact tolerances. Perform horizontal and vertical down plug welds. Weld in both horizontal and vertical planes. Read and interpret complicated blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols. Maintain weld quality standards and adhere to safety procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience with MIG welding, including steel and stainless steel. Strong knowledge of welding tools, equipment, and machines. Ability to tack up and weld structures to tight tolerances. Experience working with precision frame weldments. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift, push, or pull materials as required for welding tasks. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and noise. Work Environment Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment Use of welding equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) required Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
