• Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
• Job Description
• This role focuses on designing, fabricating, joining, and repairing equipment, fixtures, and a wide range of metal objects and structures using multiple welding techniques.

You work primarily with thick-gauge carbon steel, with some aluminum and stainless steel, interpreting drawings and requirements to produce high-quality welds in all positions and configurations. You also contribute to work center design and setup, and complete all required documentation to support efficient and safe manufacturing operations.

• Responsibilities
• + Design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment, fixtures, and various types of metal objects and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques.

+ Perform welding work primarily on thick-gauge carbon steel, with occasional projects involving aluminum and stainless steel.

+ Determine the layout of weld parts based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and specific company or customer requirements.

+ Execute welds in all positions, including overhead, vertical, horizontal, and from underneath, as well as in complex shapes such as tubes and other confined configurations.

+ Assist in welding components in areas of expertise, collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently.

+ Support the design and setup of work centers, ensuring fixtures, tools, and equipment are properly arranged for safe and effective welding operations.

+ Complete required weld documentation accurately, including line check sheets and material movement paperwork, to maintain traceability and quality records.

+ Use appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures as needed to handle materials and perform fabrication and welding tasks safely.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.

+ Follow established safety procedures and best practices in an industrial manufacturing environment to maintain a safe and orderly work area.

• Essential Skills
• + At least 2+ years of welding experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, Inner shield welding, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield).

+ Ability to work primarily with thick-gauge carbon steel and to weld aluminum and stainless steel when required.

+ Capability to meet D1.1 requirements.

+ Strong blueprint reading skills, including the ability to interpret weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication details.

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.

+ Demonstrated ability to use appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures required for welding and fabrication work.

+ Ability to execute welds in all positions, including overhead, vertical, horizontal, and confined spaces.

+ Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, structurally sound welds.

+ Ability to complete weld documentation and material movement paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Technical, vocational, or military training in welding or a related field is a plus but not required.

+ Experience with aluminum MIG welding is a plus.

+ Fabrication work, including cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components.

+ Comfort working with stainless steel materials.

+ Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments and large-scale production processes.

+ Strong problem-solving skills to address fit-up, layout, and welding challenges.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and assist others in areas of welding expertise.

• Work Environment
• You work in a large industrial manufacturing environment designed to support high-volume fabrication and welding operations.

The main facility is air conditioned, providing a comfortable workspace for most daily tasks. At times, you may need to go outside to the yard to access or move materials, where conditions are not air conditioned and may vary with the weather. The environment includes heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and fabrication fixtures, and you regularly handle thick-gauge carbon steel and other metals. Safety procedures are an integral part of daily operations, and you are expected to follow established guidelines while working around machinery, tools, and materials in a busy production setting

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $23.

50 - $24.66/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
