Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Structural Welder to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform precision welding on aerospace components using TIG, MIG, and other welding techniques. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Conduct structural repairs and modifications on Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Iconel components. Ensure all welds meet quality standards and comply with applicable codes and procedures. Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain detailed welding records, inspection logs, and fabrication documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding on aerospace-grade materials Experience interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications Experience in MIG/TIG welding of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel components Ability to obtain the NAVSEA certification in welding techniques for Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel welding within first year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Welding Technical School Training and Certification Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before starting.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Needs to frequently move about industrial and fabrication areas, including climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to weld in various positions and locations including in and around a Navy LCAC. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions.
