Weekly pay (Direct deposit) Medical insurance offered Dental insurance offered Vision insurance offered •Per Diem to those that qualify•Job Requirements of Structural Welder Producing welds to the acceptance standards of NDT, strength, tightness, or pressure test Use various metals, alloys, and filler material to make repairs aboard naval ships Conduct ship component construction Qualifications and Experience of Structural Welder Must understand SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW theory Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications, and Navy/MSC/ABS standard manuals Must possess working knowledge of welding equipment and work processes used in marine welding Must be able to operate and care for welding equipment, portable power tools and hand tools used to accomplish assigned work. Summary As a Structural Welder, you will be integral to the construction process, responsible for interpreting blueprints and fabricating metal structures with precision. Reporting to the Lead Welder or Site Supervisor, you will utilize core skills in welding, including MIG and TIG techniques, along with hand and power tools. Your expertise in construction and relevant skills such as rigging and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality of work.
