Location:
Westchase, FL (33626)
Compensation:
$18-$25/hr, commensurate with your experience level.
Shift Details:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. This position does not require overtime. About the Role Our manufacturing and fabrication department is looking for a talented Welder to contribute to our production efforts. We are seeking professionals proficient in MIG, TIG, or stick welding who possess a sharp eye for detail and the technical ability to interpret complex blueprints and fabrication schematics. Core Duties Execute MIG, TIG, or stick welding tasks as dictated by specific project requirements. Analyze and translate technical blueprints, schematics, and precise measurements into finished products. Construct, join, and restore various metal parts and assemblies. Configure welding machinery and calibrate settings to ensure optimal performance. Evaluate finished welds to verify that they meet high standards for quality, precision, and structural soundness. Prepare raw materials by cutting and grinding to ensure they are ready for the welding process. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the shop organized and clean. Work alongside colleagues to ensure we consistently reach our collective production targets. Essential Qualifications Prior professional experience in a welding capacity is necessary. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and understanding fabrication drawings and blueprints. Comprehensive knowledge regarding various welding methods, necessary tools, and metal materials. Physical capability to stand for extended shifts and lift between 40 and 50 lbs. Maintain a consistent attendance record and help foster a culture of safety throughout the facility. Proven ability to function effectively both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team member. Desired Skills Current certifications in MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. Background working within industrial manufacturing or metal fabrication settings. Competency in using various shop equipment, including saws and grinders. Fundamental understanding of how to inspect and finish metal components.
