Full Job Description Duties:
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
- Operate various tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, and welding machines.
- Assemble fabricated parts using fasteners, soldering, or welding techniques.
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet required specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fabricator/welder.
- Proficient in various welding techniques such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with machining operations and tools.
- Ability to read and understand codes, standards, and specifications.
- Experience operating overhead cranes for material handling.
- Skilled in rigging and lifting heavy materials.
Skills:
- Proficient in plasma cutting and other metal cutting techniques.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Knowledge of different welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
