Alma, Michigan Pay:

$30-31/hr + $150 per diem

Contract Duration:

0-1 year to direct

Shift:

1st and 2nd (working 15+hrs of OT/week)

Per-Diem:

$150/day Responsibilities Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process. Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness. Weld and fit various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment. Essential Skills Proficiency in using tape measures, fitting, Flux core, pulse, MIG pulse, and squares. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols with 3-5+ years of experience. 3-5+ years of experience in structural fitting and welding. 3-5+ years of experience in both flux core welding and pulse welding. 3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures. Weld Test Requirements 3G Flux Core Weld Test on a 1 in plate 3G Pulse Weld Test on a 3/8th plate Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alma, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
