Back Welder Production Cartersville , GA Apply Now Share this Job Share this Job Start your new career as a Welder with MAU at Textron GSE in Cartersville, GA. As a Welder, you will fabricate and assemble welded components by interpreting blueprints, performing MIG welding, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.
What We Offer:
Pay of $22.50 per hour First shift: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday Temp-to-hire opportunity Eligible for permanent hire after 520 hours Health benefits PPE provided
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree in welding preferred 1+ year of previous MIG welding experience required Ability to successfully pass a MIG weld test Ability to perform basic mathematics and read blueprints Experience using measuring tools, welding techniques, and manufacturing processes Ability to lift 50+ lbs. What You'll Do as a
Welder:
Follow routings and properly complete associated paperwork according to established procedures Inspect welded parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary Visually inspect weld requirements for penetration and porosity Interpret and work from blueprints and part callouts Locate components or parts in fixtures and properly secure them to maintain quality Set and adjust welding equipment to appropriate voltage, amperage, and wire-feed settings Perform maintenance on weld guns and wire feeders as needed Operate overhead cranes, hoists, weld positioners, grinders, and other equipment as required Work under the direction of supervisors and lead personnel Perform other related duties as needed, including during machine downtime, equipment changes, or part availability issues MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
