You deserve a job you love Volt is immediately hiring Welder in Forest Park As a Welder , you will: Be responsible for operating welding machinery and equipment Be responsible for reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements Be responsible for measuring work piece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machine operation Be responsible for welding in a fast-paced production environment, often in a team setting Be responsible for maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations Be responsible for operating any equipment needed to perform assigned tasks and related duties Be responsible for collaborating effectively as part of a team This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment Experience working with thin-gauge metal while maintaining high-quality weld standards Read and follow welding specifications, blueprints, and work instructions High School diploma or GED, or 2-3 years of related experience/training perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals) Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and use basic measuring tools (rulers, tapes, etc.)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate of a recognized welding trade school or vocational welding program Previous experience in fabrication welding of equipment or metal structures
Pay Rate:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour. •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
