Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations across various projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards, technical specifications, and industry codes. Your expertise will contribute to the successful assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, structural components, and sprinkler systems. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and pipe welding according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Interpret construction plans and schematics to accurately fabricate and assemble piping systems, structural components, and sprinkler systems Read and utilize blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide precise welding and fabrication work Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading equipment, tube bending tools, and other fabrication instruments safely and effectively Execute pipe fitting, pipe installation, pipe welding, soldering, and pipe threading tasks adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations by following safety protocol adherence during all welding and fabrication activities Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using calipers and other measurement tools; document work progress accurately Support construction site activities including rigging, pipefitting, assembly, maintenance tasks, and fire sprinkler fitting as needed Follow construction plans meticulously to ensure accurate installation of piping systems in accordance with project specifications Adhere to power tool safety guidelines while operating equipment such as grinders, cutters, drills, and threading machines Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues related to piping or structural components during fabrication or installation processes Experience Proven experience in welding within manufacturing or construction environments with a strong focus on pipe welding and fabrication Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering techniques Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings including schematics and blueprints for construction or manufacturing projects Knowledge of ASME codes & standards as well as NFPA standards related to fire sprinkler systems and piping installations Hands-on experience with pipe threading, tube bending, rigging, assembly, plumbing installations, and maintenance tasks on construction sites or manufacturing facilities Mechanical knowledge of piping systems including pipeline installation and pipefitting practices Ability to use hand tools such as calipers and power tools safely while adhering to safety regulations at all times Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Prior experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments where safety protocol adherence is critical Join us if you're passionate about precision welding combined with a commitment to safety! $16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
