We are looking for a skilled and dependable individual with professional welding and metal fabrication experience who can accurately fabricate custom fencing, gates, railings, and related metal components for residential, commercial, and government projects. This is a full-time position and requires someone who is comfortable working independently as well as alongside our fabrication and field crews.
Responsibilities:
Perform welding and metal fabrication for custom fences, gates, railings, frames, and related components Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and weld metal components according to project requirements Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, isometric drawings, assembly drawings, and project specifications Fabricate materials accurately according to approved measurements and drawings Perform shop fabrication as well as field welding and installation when required Operate welding machines, grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely Inspect completed work for proper dimensions, alignment, fit, and overall workmanship Assist with installation and modification of fabricated fencing and gate systems in the field Maintain tools, welding equipment, and fabrication work areas Follow company safety policies and applicable jobsite safety requirements Coordinate with project managers, foremen, installers, and other team members to complete projects according to schedule
Required Qualifications:
Previous professional welding and metal fabrication experience Strong welding and fabrication skills Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprint dimensions Ability to read and work from isometric and assembly drawings Ability to accurately measure, lay out, cut, fit, and fabricate metal components Knowledge of proper welding techniques, fabrication procedures, and shop safety Ability to safely operate common welding and metal fabrication tools and equipment Dependable, punctual, and able to work productively with limited supervision Ability to perform physically demanding work associated with fabrication and field installation
Preferred Experience:
Experience fabricating fencing, gates, railings, structural components, or miscellaneous metals Experience with both shop fabrication and field installation Commercial construction experience Experience working from construction plans and shop drawings Experience fabricating custom gates and fencing systems
