In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and fabricate metal structures and components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to delivering high-quality products for diverse industrial applications. We are seeking one individual to run a CNC tube plasma with the fabrication function. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending. Using a variety of saws, Iron worker and other tooling . Measure materials accurately with measuring instruments, tape measure, angle finders and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as welders, rigging, and assembly of fabricated parts. Fork truck experience a plus Adhere strictly to safety protocols including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), safe handling of gases and welding equipment, and compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or in the fabrication shop to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Interpret technical schematics and mechanical blueprints accurately for effective fabrication and assembly processes. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently while following safety guidelines at all times. Experience Proven experience working in a fabrication shop environment involving metal fabrication projects. Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, shop math, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Familiarity with the use of measuring instruments like tape measure and angles for precise measurements. Experience working with metal fabrication including cutting, bending (press brake), and assembly processes. Ability to operate rigging equipment safely for lifting heavy components or assemblies. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices is preferred but not mandatory. Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work performance.
