Job Description

This position is responsible for welding all necessary parts and sub-welded parts together. He/she may also be responsible for helping assemble inner parts and components.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include the following: Welds all sub-assemblies together. Reads blueprints to assure proper weld lengths, and weld fillet size. Weld the complete assembly. Performs occasional grinding on parts or on welds. May install inner parts and components as needed. Occasionally uses the D.A. or grinder when necessary. Complies to established company policies and procedures. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are preferred of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree Six months to one year related experience and/or training
Welding Certification Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Technical Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to use different types of machinery and tools, including hand tools, on an everyday basis. Demonstrable MIG welding skill and knowledge, including the different settings on the welder power pack and their functions. Ability to do any given job at a reasonable pace. Willing to take the initiative to learn other jobs and sub-work assemblies and have the initiative to do them when they need to be done.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds ability to wear proper
PPE LOCATION AND COMMITMENTS
Full-time role based in Vinton, IA Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5pm Some overtime may be required
