Job Description

PSG designs and installs anti-terrorism force protection products, access control systems, surveillance systems and intrusion detection systems from one of three different locations. Our market includes private and public corporations, municipal and federal projects and upscale residential, predominately across the United States west coast. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our Weekday Shift or Weekend Shift . REQUIRED SKILLS
1 + years' experience in steel fabrication and welding preferred Typical Welding Process GMAW Solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Read and interpret blueprints & specifications Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material. Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. Report all non-conforming material to supervisor immediately. Ensure assigned work is understood prior to commencing. Compliance with safety standards and procedures of PSG. Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project sight on a daily basis and/or when required. Complete assigned work within the given time frame and according to specifications. Periodic travel required, but most of the work is at PSG's welding shop located in Dalton Gardens.AVAILABLE SHIFT OPTIONS
Typical Day Shift:
Monday- Thursday 6am
- 4:30pm Typical Weekend Shifts are Friday
- Sunday 6am
- 6:30 pm (12-hour shifts). 36 Hours worked
- Paid for 40 Hours.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments. Experience using various power tools (IE, grinders, drill press, band saws, etc.) Ability to drive a forklift preferred, but not required Must be able to pass a drug test Must have a valid driver's license DOT medical card preferred, but not requiredBENEFITS
