Job Description

Welding Dimensional Checker Pay:
$25.00/hour
Location:
Idaho Falls, ID We are hiring an experienced Welding Dimensional Checker to inspect welded and fabricated steel components and ensure they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Job Responsibilities Inspect welded and fabricated parts for dimensional accuracy Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Verify measurements, tolerances, hole locations, angles, and overall part dimensions Use tape measures, squares, levels, calipers, and other measuring tools Check weldments before they move to the next stage of production Identify dimensional or fabrication issues and communicate necessary corrections Work closely with welders, fitters, and production leads Document inspection results as required Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety Qualifications Previous welding, fabrication, fitting, or dimensional inspection experience strongly preferred Must be able to confidently read and understand blueprints Strong knowledge of measurements, fractions, and basic shop math Familiarity with structural steel fabrication is a plus Ability to identify weld and fit-up issues Strong attention to detail Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Pay $25.00 per hour This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder, fitter, or fabricator who has a strong eye for detail and wants to move into a quality-focused position.
