at Gem State Staffing in Pocatello, Idaho, United States Job Description Welder - 1G, 2G & 3G Weld Test Required Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is seeking skilled Welders for a full-time opportunity in Pocatello, ID. This position is designed for welders who can demonstrate their abilities through a hands-on welding skills test. Starting pay will be determined based on your welding experience and performance on the weld test. What You'll Do:

Perform quality MIG welding on steel and metal components Weld in multiple positions, including 1G, 2G and 3G Read and interpret welding drawings, measurements and specifications Set up and operate welding equipment safely and correctly Fit, tack and weld metal components Inspect finished welds for quality, consistency and proper penetration Use grinders, hand tools and power tools as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow established safety and quality procedures Work independently while maintaining production standards

What We're Looking For:

Previous professional welding experience Strong MIG welding skills Ability to successfully complete a 1G, 2G and 3G weld test Ability to read basic welding drawings or blueprints Comfortable working with steel and fabricated metal Good measuring and fitting skills Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Ability to work safely around welding equipment, tools and machinery
