We are hiring Entry-Level, Intermediate, and Experienced MIG Welders to join our modern manufacturing team in East Peoria, IL . In this role, you'll perform production MIG welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly in a clean, well-maintained facility while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to quality and safety.
Pay:
Up to $34/hour based on experience
Shifts Available:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift Responsibilities Read blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and job instructions to accurately complete projects. Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently. Perform production welding on metal components while maintaining quality standards. Fit, position, align, and secure parts using fixtures, clamps, and shop equipment. Assemble fabricated components according to specifications and drawings. Inspect completed welds and parts for accuracy, strength, and overall quality. Identify and correct weld defects or alignment issues when necessary. Operate shop tools such as grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication equipment. Complete finishing work including grinding, deburring, cleanup, and touch-up welding. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production flow. Essential Skills MIG welding experience through manufacturing, previous employment, trade school, or welding training programs. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings. Basic math and measurement skills. Understanding of weld quality standards and common weld defects. Experience using welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery. Ability to pass required weld tests and qualifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime when available. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding certification or formal welding training preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience is a plus. Experience using grinders, drills, saws, and related shop tools. Familiarity with fixtures, jigs, clamps, and production welding processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
