We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, and assembling metal components according to provided drawings and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency on the shop floor. Responsibilities Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). TIG is a bonus. Measure and mark metal materials accurately tape measure. Use power tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials. Fabricate components by cutting, welding, grinding, fitting, and assembling metal parts in accordance with technical specifications. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials on construction sites or fabrication shops. Inspect finished welds for quality using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and visual inspection techniques; ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute fabrication tasks efficiently. Support assembly processes by fitting parts together precisely for final product completion. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops involving metal fabrication projects. Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, technical sketches, and interpreting engineering specifications. Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math calculations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and metal fabrication environments. Ability to operate power tools like grinders, plasma cutters, drills, and hand tools safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication processes; understanding of ASME codes & standards is a plus.
