Job Description We are seeking skilled Welders to operate equipment in producing steel and aluminum parts for consumer and industrial storage and climbing units. This role is pivotal in ensuring that products are manufactured to meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities Operate welders to produce steel and aluminum parts for storage and climbing units. Set up welding equipment, make necessary adjustments, and replace spools of welding wire and tips. Obtain designated parts from storage areas and move completed products to the designated locations. Perform visual and periodic measurements of parts/products to ensure quality standards, using blueprints as a guide. Report mechanical issues with welding equipment to the supervisor or maintenance team. Record production output on daily reports, including part/model numbers and quantities. Operate grinders to remove excess burrs and welding wire as necessary. Monitor parts usage and notify the supervisor of material requirements and shortages. Essential Skills Experience with MIG welding, including setting up and operating welding equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Possession of a welding certificate. Familiarity with fabricating and flux core welding techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a production welding environment, particularly with 16 - 12 steel gauge. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting across multiple production stations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility is clean and well-lit, fostering a comfortable work environment. Though not temperature-controlled, it remains comfortable year-round. We have six production lines and are adding a seventh. The respectful culture and open-door policy with supervisors make it an inclusive workplace. We currently have 10 openings on the 2nd shift, which runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime of 8-10 hours per week, including a 5-hour shift on Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of McHenry, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $49920.00/yr.
