Skilled Welder Tank Welder Morton, IL All Shifts Available $23.95/hour Responsibilities or job duties:
Heavy Fabricating & Alignment:
Position, level, and fit large structural steel components using clamps, fixtures, face blocks, and jigs.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and translate complex structural drawings, engineering layouts, and advanced weld symbols.
Multi-Position Welding:
Perform high-quality MIG, Flux-Cored (FCAW), or Submerged Arc welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Tank Welder Responsibilities:
Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding. Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together. Bolts, clamps and tack welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment. Weld along vertical, or overhead weld lines. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications. Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter. Properly Identify and repair welding defects as needed. Assembles parts by bolting and riveting. Operator and set up power/pneumatic tools Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and re-assembling parts. Follow strict quality control procedures. Comply with requirements as outlined in company handbook and the
OHSA Qualifications:
HS diploma/GED Valid DL Welding Experience Tank Welder must have
