The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity of piping systems, structural components, and sprinkler installations. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, contributing to the successful completion of complex fabrication and installation tasks. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and pipe welding in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication diagrams accurately. Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Execute pipe threading, tube bending, pipe fitting, and pipe installation tasks following ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Fabricate and assemble metal components for piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural frameworks. Maintain detailed records of welds performed, inspections conducted, and materials used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards and site-specific safety protocols. Collaborate with rigging teams for lifting and positioning heavy components safely on construction sites. Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and power tools to ensure optimal performance. Support ongoing maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues related to piping systems or welded structures. Requirements Proven experience in welding within construction or industrial environments, with knowledge of pipefitting, pipe welding, fire sprinkler fitting, and pipeline assembly. Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, soldering, and related techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, construction plans, and schematics accurately. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading tools, calipers, tube bending equipment, and power tools. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards as well as NFPA standards relevant to fire sprinkler systems. Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA guidelines; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of rigging procedures. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail in welding applications. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
