WHAT YOU'LL DO
Set up and adjust welding equipment, including voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire speed, and weld travel speed. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machines. Cut, punch, and weld pipe. Properly operate saws, punches, welders, and other machinery. Read simple blueprints. Use calipers and metric and standard tape measures. Cross-train for other positions. Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work area. Perform work in accordance with Menk-USA's
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Management System. Perform other duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Some mechanical experience. Multi-thickness welding experience. Previous overhead crane/industrial lifts experience is required . Must be proficient with tools of the welding trade. Basic computer skills. Ability to read simple blueprints and use measuring tools. Must be able to work productively for a 10-hour shift. Must pass a background check and drug test.
Preferred:
Technical school or vocational training. Manufacturing or industrial experience. Experience setting up and troubleshooting welding or production equipment.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Hands-on work in a manufacturing environment. Regular use of welding and production equipment. Must follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean work area. Must complete required training and meet competency requirements established by the Company's training matrix.
