Job Description

Apply Description Primary Responsibility:
To work alongside the welding team at QuikCut; welding on a wide variety of products. To meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut, and providing quality work while completing welding projects in an efficient amount of time.
Major Responsibilities:
Be able to efficiently read blueprints and drawings. Be able to read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method needed for the project at hand based on specifications listed by the client. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Operate grinders to prepare each part that must be welded. Align components using calipers, rulers, heigh gauges, protractors, squares, clamps and other measurement tools necessary. Weld components using MIG or TIG welding whichever is called for depending on the project being completed.
Weld in various positions:
vertical, horizontal or overhead Repair projects or other components by welding pieces together or filling gaps. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to establish and repair any flaws or defects left from the welding. Keep all welding equipment in a condition that would not disregard QuikCuts safety policies. Be able to lift anything from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds will be lifted assisted by a forklift, crane or magnets.
