Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in various welding techniques and tools. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Welder/Fitter will work in a steel mill melt shop environment, contributing to the fabrication of metal structures and components. Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements Conduct pipe threading, rigging, and assembly tasks as needed Operate forklifts safely to move materials around the job site Ensure compliance with ASME and AWS codes & standards during all welding operations Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines Qualifications Proven experience in welding and fabrication within construction or manufacturing settings Proficient in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding processes with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment and other hand tools Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Join us as we build innovative solutions through quality craftsmanship!

$20.00 - $32.00 per hour
