Interview Process:
The successful applicant will be asked to complete a welding assessment relative to the open position. A photo is available on our Indeed homepage (https://www.indeed.com/cmp/Industrial-Filter-Manufacturer/photos) showing a sample assessment. Starting pay will be determined based on the results of this assessment and prior experience. Candidates will be asked to pass internal welding assessments which will allow for additional increases in base pay.
Schedule:
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with occasional overtime.
Job Summary:
IFM is seeking an experienced ASME code welder to join our team. Applicants should be able to perform welding procedures to meet ASME Section VIII quality standards under minimal supervision. These standards include, but are not limited to, X-ray and U.T. non destructive examinations. Applicants must be familiar with GTAW welding process. This position will build ASME pressure vessels as required by supplied drawings and calculations. Must be able to pass MIG/TIG welding certifications that meet the required standards for ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 Read and understand blue prints and welding symbols for fabrication Ability to use measuring and leveling devices Ability to weld various joints/connections on products for strength and appropriate seal to meet company quality standards Ability to meet production scheduled hours Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements Maintains work space by sweeping and cleaning regularly to avoid the risk of injury via falls or fires Utilizes lift/hoist system for heavy jobs Performs rework as necessary based on quality check results Utilizes appropriate safety gear while performing work activities including heat resistant clothing, welding mask, steel toe shoes and face screen Additionally, while IFM does employ prep and cleanup team members, each Welder must know how to do both tasks. This will be part of the onboarding process before the successful candidate starts Welding. Education /
Technical Training:
1+ year of related experience Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding, ASME Section VIII standards and familiarity with GTAW welding standards required Must be able to pass code welding certification
Job Specific Physical Demands:
