Full-time Grand Industrial is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our industrial construction and maintenance team. This position involves welding, fabricating, installing, and repairing piping systems at industrial and commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints, produce high-quality welds, and work safely in fast-paced industrial environments. Responsibilities Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping systems using TIG, MIG, and SMAW (Stick) welding processes. Perform pipe fit-up, welding, repairs, and modifications to existing piping systems. Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, welding symbols, and piping schematics. Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning pipe prior to welding. Ensure all welds meet applicable quality standards and customer specifications. Inspect completed welds and make necessary repairs when required. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools. Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements. Assist with field installations, shutdowns, and maintenance projects. Work effectively with pipefitters, millwrights, and other trades. Perform other related duties as assigned. Welding Skills Assessment Qualified candidates will complete a practical welding test during the interview process . We believe your skills should speak for themselves. Successfully demonstrating your abilities allows us to verify your experience, determine the appropriate pay within our $30.00-$35.00 per hour range, and get you to work as quickly as possible. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Trade school, welding program, or completed apprenticeship preferred. Previous industrial pipe welding experience required. Experience welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe preferred. AWS Certification is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, piping drawings, and weld symbols. Strong knowledge of welding codes, procedures, and safety practices. Requirements Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. Must provide your own basic hand tools. Ability to work overtime and weekends as project schedules require. Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
