Welder - III

Job Description

Job Overview The Welder III supports manufacturing operations by performing precision welding on structural components and process piping. This position requires strong welding experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet inspection and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repair, modify, and fabricate components using blueprints, templates, jigs, and welding specifications. Perform structural and process pipe welding using hand welding equipment. Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines based on job requirements. Preheat and weld metal components according to blueprints and welding symbols. Operate tools and equipment such as grinders, air arc gougers, drills, and stress-relieving machines. Control heat and metal placement to meet dimensional, tolerance, and strength requirements. Produce welds that meet radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and other inspection standards. Repair defective or substandard welds. Follow all PPE, equipment, and workplace safety requirements. Perform additional manufacturing duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least four years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with structural welding and process piping. Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and job specifications. Experience producing welds that meet nondestructive testing requirements. Ability to use cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, and metal-shaping tools. Basic math skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, or similar equipment preferred. Ability to regularly lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical welding duties. Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed. Ability to work safely in environments with noise, dust, and required PPE.
Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour
