Job Description
About the Role We are looking for a skilled Lead Metal Fabricator and Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in MIG welding to transform raw materials into high-quality components, ensuring every project meets rigorous precision standards and client specifications. Responsibilities Execute high-quality MIG welds on diverse materials including mild, stainless, and galvannealed steel. Interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols to determine optimal fabrication methods for custom projects. Perform critical first-piece inspections to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design requirements before full-scale production. Manage workflow efficiency by organizing job orders based on technical complexity and project timelines. Maintain accurate production logs to ensure inventory and output targets are consistently met. Troubleshoot welding equipment setups to minimize downtime and maintain a high standard of craftsmanship. Qualifications Required Skills 3+ years of professional experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication. Proven ability to perform flat, horizontal, and vertical uphill welds. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and GD&T standards. Demonstrated attention to detail with a focus on production efficiency. Preferred Skills Experience with vehicle or fleet-related welding applications. Advanced knowledge of welding equipment maintenance and setup optimization. Prior experience in a high-demand, custom manufacturing environment.
