Job Description

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a Weekend MIG Welder to join our precision sheet metal team in Alto, GA. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, set up welding equipment, and perform high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metal components. You'll inspect welds, maintain equipment, and follow strict safety and quality standards. Working in a team-oriented, production environment, you'll support continuous improvement, collaborate with fabricators and assemblers, and contribute to on-time delivery of custom products for diverse industries. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components to meet specifications and quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment and fixtures safely Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and defects; make corrections as needed Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality goals Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment Document work as required and report issues to supervisors Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Required Skills MIG welding Blueprint reading Weld inspection Fixture setup Measuring tools (calipers, gauges) Metal fabrication Welding equipment maintenance Quality control procedures Safety and PPE compliance Basic math and fractions
