Welder Job Description This role performs Gas Tungsten Arc Welding ( GTAW / TIG ) on aircraft parts and assemblies, fabricating and repairing metal components to precise tolerances using stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal alloys. You ensure high-quality welds that meet strict aerospace standards while contributing to the reliability and safety of critical components. Responsibilities + Perform Gas Tungsten Arc Welding ( GTAW / TIG ) on aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with established procedures and specifications. + Fabricate and repair metal components using various metals and metal alloys, including stainless steel and aluminum, to meet required tolerances. + Strike and maintain welding arcs to achieve correct depth of fusion and proper bead formation on all welds. + Inspect workpieces before and after welding to ensure alignment, fit, and adherence to quality and safety standards. + Conduct minor repair operations such as Helicoil installation, ensuring proper placement and secure fastening. + Perform flushing operations as required to clean and prepare components for welding or final assembly. + Carry out grit blasting to clean and prepare surfaces for welding, repair, or finishing processes. + Use vapor degreasing to remove contaminants from metal components prior to welding or repair. + Repair cracks, broken parts, and fill holes in metal components while maintaining structural integrity and dimensional accuracy. + Follow all shop procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area. + Collaborate with team members and experienced welders to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve welding quality and efficiency. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of TIG ( GTAW ) welding experience. + Hands-on experience welding stainless steel components. + Hands-on experience welding aluminum components. + Ability to strike and maintain a stable welding arc to achieve correct depth of fusion and consistent bead formation. + Proficiency in reading and following work instructions and weld requirements for aircraft parts and assemblies. + Ability to perform minor repair operations, including Helicoil installation, flushing, grit blasting, vapor degreasing, and repairing cracks, broken parts, and filling holes. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds to tight tolerances. + Ability to work safely with welding equipment and To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
