Job purpose Welders are responsible for cutting, bending, aligning, welding, and fabricating steel and aluminum structures according to blueprints or drawings as well as other processes required to complete a fabrication project. Duties and responsibilities Primary job duties and responsibilities: Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints to determine materials required and task sequences. Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met. Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints or design layouts. Capable of using heavy duty manufacturing equipment (such as brakes, presses, angle benders and other equipment) necessary for fabrication. Able to weld using various materials and techniques (specifically mild steel, sheet steel, and aluminum; MIG and TIG). Have a thorough knowledge of safety operating procedures

Qualifications MIG Welding:

2 years (Preferred) Fabrication experience (Preferred) Sheet metal welding experience, a plus Working conditions Job is performed primarily in our corporate headquarters. Working hours generally are Monday - Friday 0700 - 1600 Hours. Some overtime and weekend work may also apply on a week-to-week basis. Physical requirements Position requires standing walking most of the time, may involve lifting of up to 50 lbs, and climbing on a ladder.
