Primary Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Required to understand and follow all safety procedures. Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures at all times. Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation. Required to meet or exceed production standards of all work centers daily. Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation. Required to maintain quality standards on all products daily including in process testing log sheets. Required to be certified to perform fusion on various diameters and SDRs of PE Pipe and fittings and have at least 90 days of experience with GFCP. Required to pass annual fusion certification examinations in order to remain qualified for this position. Assemble components as required by work instructions and SOPs. Must be able to verify that all fusion equipment is in good condition and performing as designed. Other duties as assigned. Clean, label and box products in department as needed. Support and participate in the overall EH&S programs. Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor. No more than 4.5 points Adhere to
ISO 9001
Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and
OSHAS 18001
certification requirements.
Knowledge and Skill Requirement:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge: High School Diploma or equivalent. Thorough, accurate and works error free. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing environment. Able to select the proper component parts required for a work center. Required to be or become ceritifed in various plastic fusion processes (butt, electro, sidewall, plug & socket) within 90 days. At least 90 days of manual PE fusion experience. Advanced knowledge of all fusion machines in the department. Must be able to understand and utilize measurement tools that are specific to that area or product. Must have good attendance record and employment in good standing (no final warning or suspension) May not have 3 or more non-conformances during a rolling 12 month period to qualify for this role. Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas. Working Conditions /
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner. Must be able to perform repetitive motion.
Examples:
walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time. Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time. Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required). Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required). Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts. Exposure to sparks, chips and dust (eye protection required). Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions. Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed.
