Job Description
Accurity Industrial Contractors (AIC) is a provider of highly skilled mechanical services with the ability to meet the needs of industrial companies. Located in Western Kentucky, Accurity is centrally located to respond quickly to customers throughout the Southeast and Midwest. The industries we serve range from electric utilities, aluminum smelters, automotive manufacturers, steel mills, food processing, and paper mills. With our extensive capabilities, knowledgeable crafts people, and quick response we can assist our customers with the best value in the industry We are looking for a skilled welder/fabricator to work in our shop. The ideal candidate will operate appropriate shop equipment to build mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Welder must be competent in using metal fabrication equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am Responsibilities; Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Candidates are expected to be fluent in FCAW and GMAW welding processes Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Applicants will be required to pass a 1/2 Inch FCAW test in all three positions (Vertical, horizontal, and Over head.)Job Type:
